Holding this congress is an opportunity to share our expertise and successes, while learning from the experiences of the other attending nations. We want the 22 nd AFWASA Congress to be historic for Africa and the world for its political impact on water and sanitation management. The stability of our societies, the security of our populations and the preservation of the Environment are at stake. I therefore call on every Guinean citizen to mobilise around this major event. ORGANISERS

African Water and Sanitation Association (AfWASA)

The African Water and Sanitation Association (AfWASA) is a professional organization of stakeholders in the water and sanitation sector. Initially the African Union of Water Distributors, the Association was created in February 1980, by leaders of African water companies to pool their human, technical and financial resources to optimize the training of men and women of the sector and to create a synergy around the search for solutions to improve access to drinking water and sanitation for African populations.

We carry out coordinated actions to acquire and improve knowledge of water production, distribution, and sanitation management from a technical, legal, administrative, and economic point of view. We create frameworks for the exchange of information on research, methods, processes and procedures for water production and distribution and the improvement of sanitation services, to create and promote any cooperative and commercial action of vocational training in the fields of water and sanitation.
